Choose your workspace

Prepare the place where you write.

Choose the edition that fits your computer and your workflow. Review the requirements supplied with each installer, and account for any additional voice models and audio files you plan to use.

Cloud: check the browser and connection.

Keep the browser name and version handy when reporting a problem. Cloud work uses online services, so do not assume desktop offline behavior or local processing applies. The supported-browser list, connection requirements and storage terms must accompany access.

Mac and Windows: keep the version details close.

Before installing a desktop build, check its OS version, processor, disk-space and permission requirements against your computer. Use the Mac or Windows download linked from this website. Keep operating-system protections enabled.

Local voice models have their own requirements.

A writing session and a local voice-generation job are different workloads. Model downloads, working audio and exports can need additional disk space; runtime requirements vary by engine and model. Review the selected runtime’s published requirements before downloading a model. No universal RAM, GPU or performance promise is made here.

Before moving an important project.

Keep an independent copy of the source and its export. Test a small representative project first, then inspect the result before moving your full working manuscript. Check edition-specific save, backup and export behavior in the app documentation and release notes.
