Your work and your choices
Know where a creative decision goes.
The edition you choose and the feature you use both matter. A desktop app can offer an online feature, while a browser-based workspace should not be described as entirely local. These are the product’s intended boundaries, not a release certification.
Writing and project storage
The desktop direction keeps core project work close to your computer, while Cloud uses online services. Exact backup, synchronization, storage limits and offline behavior need edition-specific documentation. Keep an independent copy until you have verified the workflow you intend to use.
Optional drafting and story analysis
Using a writing workspace should not require requesting AI-generated prose. When assistance is offered, the feature needs to identify the selected model or provider, the text it will receive and the relevant processing and cost terms before a request is sent.
Voice and audiobook production
Local engines and user-controlled model downloads remain part of the product direction. Online voice services, if offered, need separate disclosure of what leaves the device, how usage is billed and what happens to source material. A voice capability’s availability depends on the engine and build.
Bring your own key
BYOK means using credentials for your own provider account, which may bill you directly. The supported providers, secure key storage, available features and usage controls have not been announced here. Never paste an API key into the website contact form. BYOK is not a promise of free or unlimited processing.
Visual story development
Connected visual production remains a longer-term direction. Its eventual model choices, processing locations and commercial terms are not available offers today.
