Who or what makes that difficult?

An action that reveals the desire:
An obstacle the audience can see or hear:
A line that means more than it says:
A choice that changes the situation:

## Leave the scene somewhere new

What is different at the end?
What does the audience know that a character does not?
What should remain unanswered?

Write the scene, then read it aloud. Cut an explanation the action already gives us.
